I really enjoyed the unique decor and the dog-friendly atmosphere at Calistoga Motor Lodge, but I was disappointed by the lack of proper upkeep around the pool area. The indoor/outdoor spa was a highlight, though I did face some disruptions from nearby construction. Overall, it was a mixed experience that left me wanting a bit more for the price I paid.

My stay at Calistoga Motor Lodge And Spa had its ups and downs. The modern room design was charming, and I appreciated the free bike rentals for exploring nearby shops and hiking trails. However, the noise from the roadside was quite disruptive. and the ongoing construction next to the pool made it difficult to fully relax. Overall, while there were enjoyable aspects, several issues left me feeling disappointed.

My stay at Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa was quite good. The room was well-appointed and clean, making me feel right at home. However, I did experience a couple of minor issues, such as some noise from the neighboring room. Still, the cozy outdoor spaces and friendly staff made for a very enjoyable visit.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Calistoga Motor Lodge and Spa. While the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, I noticed several issues that detracted from the experience. My room was spacious but had some wear and tear, and the spa amenities were quite disappointing, particularly with the construction noise and lack of working facilities.

Rooms

The King Room was spacious and had funky decor that I found appealing. However, I noticed a hole in one of the cushions and some chips in the furniture that made it feel less than pristine.
Service

Staff members were friendly and helpful, such as the lovely front desk attendant who made checking in easy. However, I felt that more could have been done regarding communication, especially with amenities during our spa visit.
Location

Dining

I had a decent pasta dish for dinner, but the overall dining experience was a bit uneven, with some items taking too long to arrive and not meeting expectations.
Facilities

The spa facilities were underwhelming; the hot tub and sauna were out of order, and the pools were unkempt, with debris floating in the water. Overall, the facilities did not match what I expected for the price.

5.4/10

I recently stayed at Calistoga Motor Lodge for a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. The lodge features some lovely amenities like the three thermal pools and unique retro decor that really stood out. However, the experience was overshadowed by the fact that day passes for the pool area are available to the public, making it crowded with families and kids. While I appreciated the free snacks in the room and the proximity to downtown, the overall enjoyment was diminished by the high price for the experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and featured comfortable bedding, although I found the shower set up a bit awkward with limited space for toiletries.
Service
6.0
While I encountered some friendly staff, there were moments of confusion during my stay, particularly regarding amenities that were supposed to be exclusive to guests.
Location
8.0
The lodge's location is perfect for walking to downtown Calistoga or easily biking around the area, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Dining
6.0
I loved the access to nearby breakfast options, but the on-site food choices were somewhat limited.
Facilities
5.0
The thermal pools were enjoyable, but the experience is compromised due to their temperature issues and the lack of exclusivity for guests.
